Primarily fleeing persecution in the Middle East and African countries,  a large number of refugees are displaced in Athens, Greece.

Global Connect Courses was established to provide learning opportunities that are otherwise unattainable for displaced people. With a formalized education certificate, English certification, emotional support, and career mentoring, beneficiaries are enabled to pursue further education or alternate vocational training. With a focus on long-term sustainability, this foundation helps refugees find purpose, renewed hope, and new opportunities. 

Currently, Global Connect Courses has received hundreds of applications for the Seirios GED Program, and has seen high participation in both the Asteri and Kosmos programs. After successful completion of the courses, several participants have received full-ride scholarship opportunities as they pursue further education!
